Groove and Fill suggestions

I chose Maybe by Jay Sean as the “track of the week” especially for Sharon, a young lady who I teach. She loved this track when she played it last week so I thought I’d break it down for her so she has no excuse not to practice the “loops” to it!

This track is a very simple track to play, at a nice tempo and has nothing really off-putting about it so is easy for beginners to get stuck into.

I love playing to this track and really funkin’ it up. There’s some real nice “RnB” drumming that can be done. So tomorrow I’ll give you a groove and a fill to try if you feel like jazzing it up.
