Track of the week - Chop Suey

January 15th, 2008

This weeks “Track of the week” is Chop Suey by System of a Down, though not necessarily my typical cup of tea, does grow on you! I had to learn it once for a session for one of my old friends and found it a right good laugh to play. Now, unfortunately this isn’t really one for beginners or most intermediates. It’s pretty tough to play right. However, my previous tracks I’ve chosen have been pretty user friendly, so I thought I’d chuck in a track for the advanced guys. With this track it’s very important to count to make sure all the changes happen in the right places. It’s an aggressive track, so play it as such! When you really get into this track and play it how it should be played you should feel like someone’s just jammed Big Ben in your ears!! So it might be a good idea to wear some ear defenders for this one!
