This weeks “track of the week” is By The Way by The Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I’ve chosen this track this week as it’s one that I use in lessons at the end of term for people to play to. It’s great for those at an early stage AND for those who have been playing a while. If you don’t want to play it like it is you don’t have to. You can really simplify this track and take it down to basics. However if you feel confident you can feel free to jazz it up a bit! Drummers everywhere like Chad Smith (the drummer from the Chillies!) and know him well for his solid groove and simple, but very effective, fills.
Give it a listen and I’ll give you the write up tomorrow.
